Do A Little More

Last weekend we all had the opportunity to watch General Conference. It was broadcasted on BYU TV and on another channel and even at our church buildings. All they ask of us is two days; two days to give up 4 hours to listen to the teachings of the Lord through the prophets and apostles. 8 hours total. I took the time to watch 2 of those 8 hours. So now I am going back and watching the rest of Conference because the church leaders pray for inspiration on what they should talk about. There are reasons why they speak on that topic and why you felt it was directed towards you. Tonight I just finished watching Saturday's morning session and my favorite talk was by Quinton L. Cook. He talked about the importance of women in the home and in the church. My favorite quote was "Women are here on earth to do the errands of angels..." It made me feel like I had so much to live up to as Elder Cook described how amazing the LDS women are and how close to the Savior they are. It made me want to be like those women that he was describing. Conference is a time for us to all reflect on what we need to improve and for the Lord to answer our prayers.

To those not of the LDS faith, realize that you are able to watch these talks too at http://lds.org/.  Most of the talks are about service and your purpose here on earth. One talk is from 10-15 minutes. Take the time to listen to one of them, it will be worth your while.
